Riot Fest Aftershows Have Been Announced

Before I go any further, I have to get it out of my system or I won't be able to concentrate:

The Riot Fest aftershows have been announced and here are the ones that immediately pop off the page:

Alkaline Trio and Militarie Gun at The Metro: Veterans of both the Chicago punk scene and of Riot Fest itself, there might not be a show more wild than Alkaline Trio playing a hometown show at the legendary Windy City venue. And the last time Militarie Gun came to the Metro in 2023 supporting White Reaper almost tore the roof off.

The Academy Is... and The Paradox at Concord Music Hall: The Academy Is...is fantastic, but The Paradox might be the real draw here. You'd be hard pressed to find a pop-punk band with more heat within the scene and more momentum than they do. See them now at a rad venue before they blow up into the next Fall Out Boy.

Knuckle Puck at Bottom Lounge: Speaking of rad hometown shows at legendary venues, this one will be perfect for us olds that would rather see a show start at 7 and not 11.

Riot Fest 20th Anniversary Show at The Metro: Ok, this could seriously be ANYONE not listed anywhere else. I'm sure someone with more time than me will look at nearby tour dates to eliminate a big chunk of the field, but I'm going to live in fantasy dream world and imagine that it's going to be a Jack White/Green Day dual headlining set. You cannot convince me otherwise.
